Nachdem er schon lange den Wunsch hegte, selbst Musik zu machen, gr\u00fcndete er mit Lust of a Dying Breed in Nairobi seine erste Band, die zur Keimzelle einer umtriebigen DIY Metalszene des Landes wurde. 2019 siedelte er nach Kampala in Uganda \u00fcber und gr\u00fcndete mit dem Soundproducer Sam Karugu zusammen das Projekt Duma, das binnen k\u00fcrzester Zeit zum ultimativen musikalischen Exportschlager Ostafrikas wurde, und Kritiker und Weirdos weltweit in ihren Bann zog. Die unheilige Verbindung aus Death Metal und treibenden, experimentellen Elektroniksounds zog auch die internationale Metal-Community in Martin Kanjas Orbit. Seit 2017 ver\u00f6ffentlichte er immer wieder Solotracks unter dem Namen Lord Spikeheart.
